Are the parents or teachers required to help with the cooking and preparation of food?
No, Rusty Carrot Catering does all that for you. All meals are delivered hot on time ready to serve. Teachers and parents are only required to help serving the food.
Are we limited by set times for the delivery of food?
No. We work in with you and deliver the food at a time that suits your program.
What about allergies? Do we have to provide food for kids with special dietary needs?
Rusty Carrot can cater for all allergies by prior arrangement. Due to the increased labour and food cost involved for certain allergies we may have to apply a surcharge.
Is there always enough food for seconds?
Yes. We always have more than enough food on display and kids can come back for seconds or thirds.
What about the nutritional value of the food?
Vegetables or salads are incorporated into every meal. Most of the food provided is homemade.

Does Rusty Carrot provide morning and afternoon tea?
Most schools provide their own to keep the cost down but we can cater for it by prior arrangement.
What about food safety?
Rusty Carrot Catering is a registered Catering business and complies with all NZFSA regulations. We also operate under an NZFSA approved Food Control Plan (FCP) and are audited on a regular basis.
